Shrimp Alfredo is a pasta recipe based on pasta fettuccine and Alfredo sauce, an easy to make and tasty white sauce.
Ingredients
2 lbs shrimp, medium size or small
2 lbs of fettuccine pasta (nearly any other pasta is fine, too, but it should be white)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
¾ cup of butter
1 ½ cup light cream (heavy cream is ok, too)
1 ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons of red pepper flakes, crushed
4 small cloves of garlic, crushed
Salt and pepper
Cayenne pepper
Nutmeg
1/2 cup of chopped parsley
Directions
Bring some water to boil in a large pot. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil, so that the pasta will not clump. When the water boils, add the pasta and stir occasionally. The pasta will need about 10 minutes to be al dente.
While the pasta is boiling fry your thawed and deshelled shrimp in a skillet. Add 2 of the crushed garlic cloves, half of the pepper flakes, some pepper, salt, cayenne and a bit of nutmeg. When the shrimp turn pink, remove them from heat.
At low heat give the butter into a skillet and let it melt while adding the other two cloves of crushed garlic. When the butter has melted stir it with the cream and one cup of Parmesan. Mix well and take it from the oven. Now add the remaining pepper flakes, season with salt and pepper. Remove from the oven and add the shrimp.
When your pasta is ready, toss your Shrimp Alfredo over them until they are well covered. Add the remaining Parmesan and the parsley on top.
Tips
This is just a basic Shrimp Alfredo recipe. You can vary it in many ways. Using brined or marinated shrimp would be just a first step.

I hope my preparetion will also come up as good as yours. I will attempt this Indian food recipe during holidays. I am confused if the frying is supposed to be on high flame or low flame ?
